I was thinking about getting a new chair too! I like the one that I have right now from IKEA, which is not really plastic (considering its what I call "Pleather"), but it does not give me any head support. Sometimes, after studying for a while, I just want to lean back and rest my head, but I can't do that since the backing of my chair is short =_=..
So I was at Costco the other day here in Southern California (I'm not sure if there is a Costco in WA) and they offered 2 awesome chairs! Both have wheels on them so you can roll around on hardfloor and both are made with leather (one black and one brown). I forgot the brands, but the black one was more firm and modern-like, and the brown one was soft and umm... "antique-like". I liked them because they were super comfy and it provided a nice head rest for me =). Both were just at $99 =)! Definitely check out Costco if there is one in WA to see if they have any office chairs available ^.^ Brand name furniture stores like Aaron Brothers have nice chairs, but they are too expensive for the same quality that I saw at Costco. =\

I recommend a Herman Miller chair, they are stylish, modern and will last a very long time
